Branson’s dining scene has so much to offer, from breakfast spots serving hearty plates to delicious BBQ. Here’s a rundown of some of the top dining options around town that my family and I love (and you might, too!). I’ve added some personal favorites and a few thoughts on the must-try dishes.

Breakfast Spots

  • Clockers Café
    A longtime local favorite in Historic Downtown Branson, Clockers Café is known for hearty breakfasts, classic burgers, and homestyle comfort food served in a relaxed, no-frills setting. 

  • The Farmhouse Restaurant 
    TripAdvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Award. A classic spot with the best biscuits and gravy around. Start your morning right with hearty portions and a cozy atmosphere that feels like home.

  • Hungry Hunter Restaurant 
    TripAdvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Award. Known for generous portions and friendly service. The “Big Hunter” breakfast platter is a favorite.

  • Billy Gail’s 
    Featured on Food Network’s Man vs Food. Famous for giant pancakes that spill off the plate. The cinnamon roll pancakes are a fan favorite.

Burger Joints

  • Downing Street Pour House
    A British style pub in downtown Hollister with a fun atmosphere and an amazing wagyu beef burger.
  • The Branson Cafe 
    TripAdvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Award. A longtime local staple with classic, juicy burgers topped just right.
  • Pickin Porch Grill 
    TripAdvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Award. A must-try cheeseburger served with a side of live music in a laid-back setting.
  • Local Flavor 
    TripAdvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Award. Fresh ingredients and unique toppings. The fried green tomato burger is a standout.

Fun Atmosphere

  • The Social Birdy
    Features golf simulators, pickleball courts, and a putting course. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere.
  • Mel’s Hard Luck Diner
    A 50’s style diner where servers sing while you eat. Located near Grand Village Shoppes and Kringles Christmas Store.
  • Cakes-n-Creams
    A 50’s style gem with classic diner food, burgers, funnel cakes, and even a drive-in movie screen.
  • Mountain Top Grill
    Located at Mountain Top Golf Course with incredible views. A relaxed lunch spot.
  • Sugarleaf Bakery
    Enjoy homemade carrot cake and coffee, then explore the Grand Village Shops.

Sweet Treats

  • Parlour Donuts
    A cross between a donut and a croissant. Light, flaky, and especially good in cinnamon sugar.
  • Magnolia Ice
    Fine shaved ice for hot days. Try the fried portobello mushrooms.

BBQ

  • Gettin’ Basted
    Award-winning BBQ with creative flavors. The brisket is tender and smoky.
  • Danas
    A local favorite with excellent BBQ and loaded BBQ nachos.
  • Oscar’s Famous Ribs
    Known for unforgettable sauce and fall-off-the-bone ribs.

Pizza

  • Pizza by the Slice
    Quick and convenient, perfect while exploring Branson Landing.
  • Pizza by the Chef
    Fresh toppings and made-to-order pizzas. The margherita is a standout.
  • Pappo’s Pizza
    Craft pizza with unique toppings. Try the Mediterranean with artichokes, olives, and feta.
  • Mellow Mushroom
    Eclectic atmosphere and creative pizzas. The Funky Q chicken pizza is a hit.

Quick Bites

  • Earl of Sandwich
    A hidden gem near Lake Taneycomo with a signature sandwich sauce.
  • Walkers
    Walker’s Nachos is a laid-back Branson eatery serving up loaded nachos piled high with fresh toppings and generous portions, making it a quick and satisfying stop near the heart of the action.
  • Mythical Witch
    Mythical Witch is a quirky, creative sandwich shop in downtown Branson serving up imaginative, generously piled sandwiches with bold flavor combinations in a fun, colorful atmosphere that keeps locals and visitors coming back.

Steaks

  • Saltgrass Steakhouse at the Branson Landing
    Great steaks with lake views. The ribeye is consistently excellent.

Mexican

  • El Lago
    Taco Tuesday is unbeatable. Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices.

Fine Dining

  • Level 2 Steakhouse
    Located in the Hilton. Known for 28-day aged steaks and a strong wine selection.
  • Top of the Rock
    Dining with breathtaking sunset views. Perfect for special occasions.
  • Chateau Grille
    Located at Chateau on the Lake. Fine dining with fresh seafood and incredible views.
